Eritrean Foreign Minister, Osman Saleh, has said all nationals abroad are free to return home in the wake of peace with neighboring Ethiopia.
Saleh in an interview with the German broadcaster DW said Eritreans exiled for any reasons could return peacefully without any problem. He also said the government had a policy to that effect.
Asked if such returnees were welcome home he continued: “Yes, there is a comprehensive government policy, but Eritreans who want to come back voluntarily, they can come. There is no problem.”
He, however, reiterated a government position that Eritrea was a cause of illegal immigration to Europe.
