Counterpart friendly parties from Africa that attended the 11th EPRDF Congress said the impressive reform actions of Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed and his administration are lessons for their respective countries.
Parties in office from Djibouti, Sudan, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and South Africa attended the opening session of EPRDF Congress, being held in Hawassa, capital of the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples State.
Presenting their party and government’s messages to the Congress, the speakers hailed the rapid growth the EPRDF-led government registered, mentioning their appreciation to the reform actions taken place over the past couple of months.
The parties are hopeful in that the Congress would pass resolutions that transform the country by laying the reform on sustainable base.
Adding, the heads of the delegations mentioned Ethiopia’s matchless role in supporting the economic integration of the Horn region.
Africa needs team of progressive leaders that economically liberate the continent and the Congress’s decisions impacts both Ethiopia and the wider continent, according to them.
Meanwhile, delegations from China, Germany and Vietnam also attended the event, and delivered their government’s messages to EPRDF Chairman Dr. Abiy Ahmed.
