Today is the birthday of Ethiopian long-dstance runner Tariku Bekele, born on this date on February 28, 1987.Bekele specializes in the 5000 metres and is the younger brother of Kenenisa Bekele. He is the fourth fastest Ethiopian ever over 5000 m and 3000 metres. He was also the 10,000m bronze medalist winner at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
