Outgoing ambassadors of Canada, Denmark and Tunisia to Ethiopia pledged to provide support for the fruitfulness of Ethiopia’s ongoing reform under Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
President Mulatu Teshome bid farewell to the outgoing ambassadors today at the National Palace.
During the farewell ceremony, Canadian Ambassador Philip Beker, Denmark’s Ambassador Mette Thygsen and Sahab Khlfalah of Tunisian expressed their readiness to assist the Premiers ongoing reforms.
Mentioning that he had exerted his utmost efforts in strengthening the mutual relationship between both countries in all spheres during his stay, Ambassador Beker pointed out his country’s commitment to support and attain the desired goal.
He added that Canada has been extending its assistance in areas including economic cooperation, mining and exchanging views on governance in particular with federalism.
Beker appreciated the hospitality of Ethiopians describing it as one of the many things he had enjoyed during his stay.
Similarly, Tunisian Ambassador to Ethiopia Sahab Khlfalah expressed his commitment to encouraging business persons to come and invest in Ethiopia.
President Dr. Mulatu Teshome appreciated the goodwill of all ambassadors and for the tireless efforts, they made to synergy the relationship of their respective countries with Ethiopia.
He also assured the outgoing ambassadors that Ethiopia is keen to further consolidate bilateral ties in the spheres of trade and investment with the three countries.
