Chinese Foreign Minister Wong Yen finished his visit to Ethiopia on 24 and 25 October 2011.

On the first day of the new year of the European New Year, the Chinese government’s highest-ranking foreign minister from China began a tour of Africa to highlight prioritizing China’s diplomatic ties with our country.
In the discussion with Foreign Minister Wen Jiabao, Foreign Minister Wen also mentioned that Ethiopia is a model of diplomatic relations with other countries.
China expressed its willingness to continue strengthening the existing relations in various fields in Ethiopia, he said.
HE Mr. Abiy Ahmed, Minister of Foreign Affairs, invited Chinese Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai to invite Dr. Abiy to attend a one-way meeting at a belt in April 2011.
When the Foreign Minister concluded his Ethiopian tour, he was honored by HE Dr. Zeitnehre, EFD’s Foreign Minister.
